As I’ve always preached since working with an Advertising Company long ago when I was the Director of Sales for a New Condominium Project:

“There is a difference between Advertising and Marketing in Real Estate or any business for that matter.”

So when I came across this post about REALTOR Slogans and creating effective slogans that differentiate Real Estate agents from the over 1 million that are out there, the list of Slogans that state the obvious and do not convey attributes people look for in a Realtor” , I think it was a nice way for Mike saying that these are not very original slogans.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen these slogans all over the place from different REALTORS all across the country:

“Everything I Touch Turns to Sold”
“Selling (community name) one yard at a time”

Certainly not original and it could be an obvious sign that when you come across this, the headline (or short description) to sell your home is going to be pretty generic also. “I’m Gorgeous Inside”, or some of the other various ones that draw more attention to potential buyers in the form of sarcastic laughs then anything else.

Yes, it’s always a lot easier to just use the same thing over and over, just like it’s a lot easier to just list a home then market it for sale. Following the same fundamentals as outlined in the above article about creating a slogan are the same principles used in marketing homes for sale.

Otherwise.. it’s just being listed for sale and when there is quite a bit of inventory for sale, that’s the last thing you want when selecting a REALTOR to sell your home.
